Since the last woggle Beavers have been very busy, we sent quite a few up to Cubs and gained a couple of new ones. We have also got a new helper called Jo who the Beavers have named Squirrel so i would like to welcome her on-board. Activities wise we have had 3 major events the first been the Beavers 25th birthday bash, this was well attended and we all had fun doing party games and then the band played us Happy Birthday, a very memorable event. The second event was St Georges day which was hosted by us the 11th, the Beavers helped with the presentation and did us proud. Our last event was the biggest and the best it was Big Camp, I took 9 of them to the Harrogate showground for 24hours where we camped with over 5000 other scouters and did lots of very exciting activities please take a look at our web site to see the pictures. At the end of the 24hours I don’t know who was more exhausted me or the kids ! We will be finishing for the summer on Thurs 18th July and returning on Thurs 13th Sept where we will be receiving some new young beavers. Have a good summer and see you all in Sept.
Over the weekend of Friday 4th – Monday 7th May 2012 Beavers, Cubs & Scouts attended the West Yorkshire Scouts County Big Camp at the Great Yorkshire Show Ground Harrogate.
The weather was kind during the day, but cold on an evening (-6C), and it was even reported to have snowed! but all the Young people enjoyed themselves, in total there was over 5000 people and they all had the chance to take part in over 300 activities! It was a fantastic weekend and everyone who atteneded had a fab time.

A massive thank you to everyone who came this afternoon, you looked very smart.
Also thanks to all the parents & supporters who were there as parade marshals, your help was greatly appreciated.
Shame about the weather, but never mind, we didn’t get that wet!

We currently have 28 Beavers with 10 of those going up to Cubs after Easter. We have been very busy this term doing all kinds of activities, a games night with new games played, blow painting and finger people painting where the beavers and helpers got quite messy, 2 weeks of mothers day card making and then the last two weeks will be dedicated to easter activities.
In the coming year we have the Big Camp where 10 of my Beavers are staying overnight. And we are organising a joint district Cub and Beaver Jubilee party at Fanwood on the 16th June.
I would like to thank my parent helpers without them we could not do the activities we do.
