three young leaders at the group were presented with their Chief Scouts Platinum award, this can be regarded as a ‘steppingstone’ to the Queens scout award, the highest in scouting. to qualify for this award, the young leaders have taken part in an overnight expedition, carried out service at the Hunsworth scout group by assisting at Beaver & Cub meetings, organised and run an international night for Scouts & taken part in environmental projects, some of the activities also qualified them for the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award.

The badges were presented by Group Scout Leader, David Sowden & District Commissioner Mike Terry. The young leaders also attended the County presentation evening at Bradford Cathedral.
